I don’t think I would be so good; I have little hope at this point. I just point out the obvious.
For the immediate counteraction of floating the idea of States leaving the US. it has to be proposed and formulated by governors; then referendums would need to be conducted on it (not just whether to leave, but picking out a template for a new basis of laws for a new federation…) So it’s out of our hands; all we can do is remark on the obvious.
That would get the Supreme Court and the Repubs to spit-take their coffee. It would wreck the idea of the oligarchs taking control of the US, once it starts going fractional and making it hard to pull off their lawless shit in the new federations.
I think Maine and Vermont are in a great position given an interstate route they could conduct through Canada, in return for building a new highway along the US border and paying tolls. Trade with them would be a natural.

Vermont and Maine need to get discussions going. I would suggest keeping NY and Massachusetts out of the initial discussions, to prevent a reintroduction of the Dem Party, whose tenets would be diametrically opposed to what I outlined here:
