On a live performance on Kimmel, the drum stood out more and made the song less sedate; but I could not find it on youtube.
Here’s an album track where the percussion is more pronounced.
But even this track doesn’t have the “THUMP…THUMP…THUMP…THUMP…” (a precise 4 count…) when the song breaks down to nothing in the middle. Trust me: it’s a fantastic hook…
