14th Amendment section 3

I guess everyone forgot this. Trump is an adjudicated insurrectionist as confirmed by the Colorado Supreme Court. Trump can not be president under the 14th amendment. Section 3. Who will be the one to remind America and put a stop to this?

DEMOCRACY at its finest. What good is our constitution if we are not going to adhere to it? Might as well let Trump do away with it because the law of the land doesn’t seem to apply to him anyway.

As a felon he can’t even be hired as a file clerk in the courts!!! Why is this man going to be handed the presidency!!!

This is so frustrating!!! This man’s actions have no bounds no checks or balances… No repercussions!!!

Unfortunately you are right. It does fall on them. We know that won’t happen but since Trump likes delay tactics in court um maybe litigate the hell out of this til he dies? Vance as a president would suck but some kind of example has to be made out of someone that tests the boundaries of the constitution time and time again.

You just did, thus pointing out that the Democrats and the Republicans are the same Wing of the Corporate Capitalist Party and working hand and hand to make sure that their shared Billionaire Donors keep their lofty positions of power.

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment bars individuals involved in insurrection against the U.S. from holding public office. Attempts were made in states like Colorado to disqualify Donald Trump from appearing on ballots due to his alleged role in the January 6 Capitol attack. However, in March 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled unanimously that only Congress—not individual states—has the authority to enforce this provision for federal offices. This decision confirms that while Section 3 remains valid, any disqualification of federal candidates, such as the presidency, must be handled by Congress, not by state-level courts or officials.

You’re correct. The Colorado Supreme Court is the state’s court of last resort. Its decisions are binding on all other Colorado state courts. It is not federal. This doesn’t change the fact that he is still an adjudicated insurrectionist.

Given it’s been ruled that this case should be left to Congress knowing full well who controls the house, and now the Senate… this will never get shot down by Congress.

I know it is sickening that the Supreme Court is blocking an avenue to accountability. We are a sick nation and many ignorant ,biased people voted him in

It truly shows how much the capitalist corporate demopublican party (republicans and corporate democtats) and the supreme court are absolutely corrupt and bought and paid for. If we survive this (and i mean if!), think about what future generations will think about the state of the US government in 2024. Truly terrifying right now.
