2025-12-17 Operation Hope Working Group Meeting Brief

Corruption Watch Project Update

  • Arpan’s expanded Corruption Watch needs coders; several viewers have offered help for the significant development of this political corruption database, which may become a separate organization.

  • Vincent to email hope@TYT.com regarding contributing as a professional game programmer.

Candidate Accountability Framework

  • Tony proposed a detailed accountability and engagement framework for Rebellion PAC candidates to prevent post-election corporate influence, citing Sinema and Fetterman as examples.

  • The framework includes regular check-ins, welfare assessments, activity updates, goal-setting, obstacle identification, and constituent engagement tracking, prioritizing sustained involvement.

  • Corey suggested adding a media strategy component to track legislative promotion.

  • Kara agreed; this aligns with plans for candidates to appear on RevolYOUtion Q&A sessions, which could double as accountability meetings.

  • Tony will incorporate media strategy questions. Kara will discuss implementation with Cenk.

New Rebellion PAC Endorsements

  • Three new candidates will be announced tomorrow, Dec 18.

  • Richard Ojeda, Randy Bryce, and Ro Khanna are existing endorsed candidates.

Populist Plank Endorsement Process

  • Kara noted the Populist Plank’s petition system is clunky and unprofessional for candidate endorsements. A simplified solution is needed, featuring easy endorsement, automatic shareable social media image generation, a professional display page on populistplank.com, and a completion follow-up system.

  • Aaron proposed an externally hosted landing page linked from TYT to populate a Google spreadsheet. Kara is working with TYT on improved page structure.

  • Kara to follow up after Friday’s meeting about creating a simple endorsement page. Team to identify someone to manage the endorsement follow-up process (similar to Henry’s state-level volunteer role).

Operation Hope Game Development

  • Maggie proposed a card game focused on civic engagement and making “hope” practical (ages 8+). Key features include civics trivia, progressive difficulty, and multi-solution problem-solving.

  • Tony will gather youth input on game preferences. The team will contribute ideas to Maggie’s discussion post. Maggie will continue developing the game, balancing evergreen and contemporary elements.

Upcoming Schedule and Guests

  • No meetings on Dec 24 (Christmas Eve) or Dec 31 (New Year’s Eve).

  • Jan 7: Live Town Hall with Richard Ojeda at 8 PM Eastern / 5 PM Pacific.

  • Next regular meeting is Jan 14.

  • This week’s *RevolYOUtion* guests:

    • Tomorrow: Ro Khanna

    • Friday: Daniella Mestyanek Young “Knitting Cult Lady” (discussing her book “The Culting of America” and organizational psychology).

Thank you Maggie for the briefing, I didn’t see the email about the meeting until afterwards, sorry I wasn’t there.

I’m going to follow up with TN volunteers (as TN state captain) about some ideas I have about possibly playing Steve Cohen (progressive-but-pro-establishment incumbent) and Justin Pearson (his even more progressive challenger) off each other to hopefully get one, or both, of them to endorse the plank.

Happy holidays to everyone! :candle::evergreen_tree::confetti_ball:
