2028 Ticket

Who would you like to see and why?

Could the winner be promoted and backed by a progressive super PAC ?

President- Jon Stewart for his strong progressive views, and is not intimidated by MAGA. He’s not afraid to fight back.

Vice President- Stephen Colbert has great chemistry with Jon, has worked with Jon in the past, and has a very high level of popularity at the moment. Not afraid of MAGA, and not afraid of fighting back.

Excellent communicators- They can both string coherent sentences together that actually make sense.

Would certainly be interesting to see celebrities like them on the debate stage; in-person impersonations would be entertaining. I wonder about celebrities, as a category, as a strategy. And I wonder how those two would do in a general election.

There are plenty of celebrities who have held political office like actors Ronald Reagan (U.S. President and California Governor), Arnold Schwarzenegger (California Governor), and Sonny Bono (U.S. Representative). Other public figures who served in government include athlete and actor George Murphy (U.S. Senator), politician-turned-TV host Jerry Springer (Cincinnati Mayor), and actor Fred Thompson (U.S. Senator). Heck I recall even a porn actress ran for president once… Oddly enough most celebrities that have won in politics have been republicans. I wonder why?

HERE WE GO!!! If this gains traction I am all for it!!!

I’m actually hopeful for the first time in a long time even if it is just a long shot… someone has to get in his head and make him say he will run…

Walz -but he committed to governor, right? Also, I heard he gives Zionists a pass.

Failing that, Beshear or Moore is fine by me…

Yes. Waltz is committing to run for a third term as Governor but that doesn’t impede a 2028 run for President.

I was wondering about that! If he can still opt to run, good for him that he’s getting other things done in the meantime…

I know in Florida the governor had the legislature change the rules in his favor where if he ran for president and dropped out he can keep being governor. Yes, from a purely legal viewpoint, Walz can run for President in 2028 without resigning the Governorship first. The law in Minnesota does not force him to give up the Governor’s office just because he’s running federally, and federal law does not forbid a state office-holder from running for President as he was able to run for Vice President- President without resigning.

Hopefully he will run.

Trump’s attacking him speaks to the very real challenge he presents. Homeland Security tried to smear him as being an agent of China…

Indeed. One thing Trump does recognize and acknowledges is the very real threat and fear of someone like Bernie Sanders. Waltz is a very real threat that is in the school of thought of Bernie Sanders.

Bernie’s political threat is being an Indie organizer; but he refuses to do it. For Independents to have real power would require an alignment on core working class values, and ejecting saboteurs sent in by monied interests. He just wants to do speeches, expecting a herd of cats will then take Congress back from the owner$ (who Cenk calls “The Donor Class”…)

I completely understand your frustration with Bernie. We must understand he’s not a spring chicken anymore. He must be tired. I would love to see him take one more shot at the White House as I think America is ready for him but by then he’ll be even older and a bit more tired. Could he organize a coalition under his school of thought? ABSOLUTELY!!! Is he willing? I don’t know. Maybe he feels he can inspire more with these speech tours. Either way at his age I’m glad he’s not giving up.

Pfft -sure there is, Steve. The nurse will be here in a minute to give you your meds.

Project 2026: Impeach Trump!

“Nurse? This patient needs some meds too!”

Agreed!!! Out with the old guard in with the new!!!

  1. There is direct correlation to the renewal of the East wing of the white to the new Reich Chancellery, the headquarters for Hitler’s government, which was completed in early 1939.

Trump is banking on not going anywhere any time soon.

  1. Harris says “I’m not done.”

She’s too rooted in the donor class which only opens the door to go back to how things were. Our politicians beholden to donors instead of the people. Unfortunately for her she was involved in the biggest mistake (in my opinion) that the democrats have ever made. Crowning her successor and taking that decision out of the people’s hands was atrocious.

Largest recipient of AIPAC money -there’s a reason she remained quiet about the genocide!

See the video of a protester on her book tour shredding her about that?

I’d like to see someone virtually unheard of who’s focused on fighting corruption and corporate welfare. People are so pissed at both parties I think an independent would have a ton of support as long as they’re not taking big PAC money and not playing identity politics.

And have some intelligent celebrity as a VP running mate, anyone who isn’t in the political fray already. Some fresh ideas could go a long way in the national conversation, assuming it would ever reach the eyes and ears of the electorate.

So much for Walz!

On to Beshear or Moore.

I will accept Massey if he repudiates his previous normalizations of Trump. Not looking fine right now for saying he’s not “sure” if the Maduro abduction is unconstitutional -an action that used warships, bombers, and subs. If that’s not a war, nothing ever will be…
