I thought this video was pretty good. Apparently it is based on the ideas and expertise of author Robert Paxton of Columbia University.

American Fascism is entering its fifth and final stage, a stage that offers two possible paths: Radicalization, or Entropy. The future of the United States, and truly the world, will very much depend on which path the administration takes.
If it tightens its grip before fully consolidating the levers of state, corporate, and media power, it risks losing control and collapsing into entropy. If it loosens it, the grievance-fueled engine of its movement will run out of steam, and it will collapse into entropy.
The best possible scenario for pretty much everyone is a slow, managed collapse of this fascist movement, as it realizes it has lost favor with its restless population and does not really have the means to control them.
