Trump’s in quicksand; it turns out that the Iranians have made a reasonable offer, but it is predicated on Israel stopping their bullshit in Lebanon and Gaza -and the Israelis will never in the long run accept Trump telling them to do that!
I have to say: America really does need the help of the EU, but not in terms of military forces. Germany and Italy need to get off their kompromatted asses to join in an EU trade embargo/sanctions against Israel ASAP, to get Israel to stop their landgrabs and bring some peace to the Middle East for a while and some sanity back to global trade.
Germany+Italy: you’re supposedly the adults in the room (contrasted to a manchild posting infantile AI images…) Do you think when energy prices become insane and your economies are train wrecks, you’ll simply be able to point a finger and childishly say: “It’s all Trump’s fault!”? The US is militarily enabling Israel; presently the EU is to a large part economically enabling Israel. The EU needs to act/react with an embargo and sanctions against Israel (and ferret out anybody in your political infrastructure who appears to be kompromatted by Israel…)
If Trumpkins/the Israeli CIA start a shooting war over the Strait and the blockades, this all ends very badly for the world…

Germany and Italy should be getting just as much press heat for blocking an Israeli embargo by the EU as the US is getting for starting its latest unplanned military adventures.
An EU embargo/sanctions will be the only way to get Israel the hell out of Lebanon and to stop its genocide in Gaza.
I read the US is requesting UN assistance now on the Strait. The UN could be asked to further police Lebanon and Gaza against cross-border rocket attacks by Hezbollah, and help reestablish the Palestinian Authority for the Palestinians in Gaza -which Israel used Hamas to undermine! Their brilliant PA sabotage scheme ended up instigating October 7th…

And in the act-as-I-tell-you-and-not-as-I-do department: Rubio was preaching today about how countries can’t take it upon themselves to change the norms of international navigation of waters, but he can’t see that as being relevant to the assassinations of Venezuelan fishermen.
“They were running drugs!” Where was the interdiction attempt? Where is the evidence of that?? No-fucking-where. Those boats were sunk to satisy a petulant child when Maduro offered a bounty for Epstein evidence involving Trump (in response to Trump’s bounty on Maduro…)

Not enough; Israel will STILL terrorize Palestinians with the IDF, as opposed to policing the actions of settlers. You have to embargo/sanction Israel itself, as opposed to just transgressing settlers that you happen to catch in the act, to get them to stop their genocidal moves…
But it IS a step in the right direction!
