Kyle points out as I have that given the present inaction by MOST Dems, they won’t be getting a supermajority. They are simply deciding to not go for it in the first place, Kyle.
It’s extremely cynical, Kyle; most Dems just want to be reelected for a donor gig; they don’t want to do the heavy lifting of fixing things that a supermajority would be needed to accomplish (cutting off Israel’s capture of US military policy; advancing worker conditions; checking insane monopolies; fixing the Supreme Court…)
I have given up on both the Dems and Sanders who could not be bothered organizing an Independent alliance for the midterms. A president is talking about ending a civilization and they can’t even bother to extend a signed public invitation to a subset of Repubs to cross the aisle and impeach? Most of the Dems are utterly useless with their political triangulations and their after-the-midterms-we’ll-look-at-repairing-the-Mad-Max-world-we’ll-be-living-in mindset; and the Repubs are just along for the ride with brazen corruption.
