I see a quite desapearance of family businesses. Corporations are buying small busines at a rapid pace, at least that is my perception. In no time we can all be working for a few ginormous corporations, that can dictate our every move, comunism but corporations in control instead of governments. How do we break out of corporate greed and control? The same way humans broke out of serfdom. We learn a trade, we sell al wares to rach other and build wealth. I am learning to knit and crochet, I can later make sewaters. We should learn how to sew, grow food and animals, fix/make shoes, cook, make furniture, build houses..etc. and buy from each other. Better yet, create financing co-ops and help each other financialy acquire the things we need.
I appreciate your points! Especially on escaping greed-directed economy, and public financing. In my support of your points, I would recommend the interview highlighted here: Public Investment; intersections w/ politics, society, economy, ecology, etc . I’m curious what you’d think of the points from that interview, especially regarding how it informs on your points and objective.
Thank you for the link. I started lustening and so far agreed. I Have not taken into account the environmental impact. I will kerp digesting the info and searching fir mire. Thanks.
Yeah, our environment is an interesting aspect. My concept of economy (itself) is as our societies’ interface with our environment; many people don’t think of the economy in quite that way; (ie, in context). The ecological environment is essentially the basis of the economy.
PS:
The eco- prefix comes from the ancient Greek word oikos (οἶκος), meaning house or home. … like ecology (the study of our natural home) and economics (the management of the household).
