Iran is going to bail on the agreement given this predictably childish bad-faith complicity. Even though the bad-faith of the US is all there, documented in black and white, the US is going to claim that Iran reneged on the ceasefire once the strait is closed in response to this initial Israeli strike on Lebanon.

I wonder what the EU will do in response to this? Ultimately, it’s Israel that’s shutting down the strait. To finally get a full embargo rolling against Israel [until they stop hostilities immediately] would be a good response.
I think starting with that and mentioning that the US is being looked at would get Wall Street’s attention. Yeah, sure: a US embargo would be a meltdown of the global economy. But closing the strait would be that for the EU anyway, right? At this point they will have nothing to lose; if the strait remains closed, they will completely lose anyway.
And this means, unintended by Trump, a full-speed-ahead for a global tooling up of renewable energy.
The EU has to look at the root cause and remove it: Israel.

An embargo of Israel by the EU would force Israel to mug the US for even more money, and that would propel a movement here by both the right and left to eject Israel from our political system. The $200 billion more for “the military”? -how much of that goes to Israel?? It’s just another mugging of US voters by Israel…
The close-the-strait gambit is temporary; eventually the gas goes to $5 or more.
