So with a majority of Repubs supporting the action, giving a big fat middle finger to a majority of former MAGAs and Indies NOT supporting it, it’s pretty clear we are lock and load for a voting shutdown at the midterms.
I hope the States are ready to react!
Soft secession (sitting on making federal payments until the feds start complying with federal judicial orders…)
Drills -lots of drills by States, on what to do when it comes time for them to conduct elections and attempts are made to shut them down (examples: ICE intimidating people at voting stations, declarations of a national emergency or martial law, etc.) They should be ready to deploy their Guards if Trumpers go over the top; they should even prepare for Trumpers to try and sabotage that, by enacting safeguarding State legislation…
Looks like he thinks there will be no consequences for getting people killed (like with the previous Iran bombing or the Venezuela boat strikes…)
The Shah’s son is a complete Mossad joke, and there is no one there to fill in for the IRG. He thinks he can get some people killed and then walk away from it, shrug his shoulders, and go: “Hey I ‘tried’…”
And once again Americans will be left to pay Israel’s bills (both today and in years to come…) caused by his being bribed. Schumer and Repubs who haven’t got the memo that the evangelicals are checking out on Israel first will be making sure the US continues to pay. Now one can appreciate my poor expectations for the Dems at the midterms!
So what’s your play here. Schumer and Jeffries? Don’t even TRY and stop him, and then blame him for the consequent years of chaos??
Perhaps Trumpers feel it’s just an opportune time to use a war to cover for a serious blame-AI [SLOP!] market correction.
As for Israel had dirt on him, and he buckled to that: he has no shame. He’s just running out the clock as long as he can on releasing the Ep-files, so he can maximize his bribe take and then dip out to a country with no extradition treaty and he has the likes of a Blackwater/XE do his security (I think Dubai’s off now…)
Why did he do the tariffs, when everybody told him it hurts long term trade relations, which hurts US consumers? Because: hurts to be you; “I get personal side dealS when the tariff rates get negotiated.” Many countries had no incentive to honor those tariffs in the longrun; they were just going to eventually cut the US out of their trade loop, Bessent’s feeble threats to not do that notwithstanding. There was going to be no reshoring -that train left the station, as it is even now for many other industries given their crappy incentives to stay.
There was an article in the Guardian this past week about many organizations throughout the US that are petitioning paying no taxes . It’s really widespread and catching on because people do not want their tax dollars going to another country and war. Some are figuring out what they would pay locally , but federally , nothing. What do you expect with Congress not representing the American people. Bless them all to get away with this. Jack Callahan
The guy who won over Dan Crenshaw? Nope. MGT? Nope. Massie? Nope. Rand Paul? Nope.
Most? Yep -but as the day-to-day economic consequences hit home with voters harder and harder, do you think the Repubs will remain on board? We all knew General Bonespurs was hoping this would be a quick adventure, like the last one; but the Iranians were expecting it and have planned to inflict at least economic pain on Israel, America, and anyone else who takes their side.
Yes, I know: many MAGAs are chickenhawks who love a war when there are no consequences. But not when there are, like Iraq by 2007 or Vietnam by 1973!
The Iranians completely know this, and are going to kick out the US support that the NUTanyahoo faction in Israel count on. Hey Laura Loomer, covert insider for Israel: expect your White House pass to be rescinded soon!
Yes: many more Repubs should be seeing the antiwar/anti-Zionist tsunami headed their way! But it appears they are either cut off from the viewpoints of their constituents (an AIPAC/Mossad disinfo op?) or they are betting on a successful Trump junta. For the former, they lose; for the latter, they might get that in a handful of cracker States, but most States (including Repub ones…) see that coming now and are preparing to thwart it in its early stages…
There is often this debate: why is Trump being a sockpuppet for Israel? Do they have blackmail on him??
It’s this simple: money, bribery. Trump and his circle of grifters who get paid directly believe that is a right of political office. It’s that simple. Trump has NO SHAME with regards to any sex abuse he might have done. He will cry fake news, AI, etc. and ignore it; he has immunity from the Supreme Court on it (take a bow Supreme Court; he’ll be flying out to a country with no extradition on his last day in office…) So no: in his case, it’s probably not about the Epstein files (no matter how horrific something in there might be…)
Early on there was a feeling of hope from what Tulsi was saying. But no, they got to her , she either sold out or the fear of Trump got to her. Either way, if she had resigned and said, the truth, she would have been a hero and others could have followed bravery. But alas, no. Schade
Yeah -we’ll run out and protest that our problems are all due to Trump!
They’re due to MOST of the Dems ENABLING Trump again and again.
I don’t buy for a second Groundsite’s “The Dems are playing three dimensional chess and want to make the Repubs look bad!” argument. Each week that goes by with this lunatic able to crash this country, it’s hurting ALL OF US! -not just the Repubs!
They are doing it because they are cynical and craven money grubbers who want the AIPAC payday to keep on coming for them, health of the country be damned! It’s simply a case of what I call “Profiles in Paychecks” (an update to the [ghost written] JFK novel…)
