We all bemoan the influence Elite Donors have over government at all levels. Also the power of legacy media leaders have over the newsrooms. We say the influence is clear but are missing the same critique of online media when they so the same. Online media sources use Casinos, mobile Phones , questionable services, etc. Etc. Etc. Are we suppose to believe that online media outlets that use these revenue sources are not any less beholden to these revenue sources ?
That is why Cenk and TYT make sure to say that they are “member driven” and even when they do get a sponsor like Noble Mobile that they have NO SAY in what TYT says or does.
