With declining view numbers and a very inactive website, is TYT dying?
If so, why? Are people getting disillusioned at the possibility of little constructive political change, given recent events??
Look at precious little being done after Hogg is being ejected from the Dem Party. Sanders continues to shrug his shoulders at doing something serious as an alliance of Independents. If that’s what’s doing it, you can’t blame them.
They need to push merch more to remain sustainable. I see no banner ads for it, as I had suggested. If you look at other successful channels, they either do that, have a sugardaddy/mommy (rare…), or are paid to push fake news (like the Russians did…) Implore people to “do the right thing” and donate? Forget it! That’s pulling teeth. A random merch item with a pithy or sarcastic message pops up in a banner? People often click through on that and do an “impulse purchase”. The banners that show randomly selected merch items should not only appear on all Turks pages, but should also appear in their Email alerts. If the message is a funny one, most people won’t mind.
“We have merch, but it doesn’t move all that much.” That’s because people don’t know it exists, unless you mention it on credits or go to a specific web page. You need a funny merch item, randomly selected (as a banner item…), on every page and Email that you publish.
Because of the poor strategy executed by the Left, you will see some people get disillusioned and become disinterested. In the hope that somebody eventually carries out good strategy, you want to be a going concern when that day comes. You need good funding strategy while we are in such a dry stretch of shitty Left-leaning strategy…
Nahh. if so truth is dying, that just says something about the audience. I doubt when electricity and science in general was first discovered/utilised that it was the most popular idea either, but its definitely the crowd id rather be in.
I really think Burtsplurt is putting it best. I really couldn’t put it better than they have.
Not to mention philosophers of any kind and how they were treated when they debated after the their theories were first brought up.
Thanks for that
I can’t take time to check the numbers, but it seems like every day more members join on Discord, Twitch and YouTube. I think there’s been less interaction on TYT.com but more views and posts on other combined media. Oh, and FB, but I try not to participate in it.
If someone has time to dig into statistics, it’s good to know how this community is changing. I’m sure Cenk and others in management keep an eye on it.
FedBook…
You can see the effort being made to bury that story from search results…
Do they have a reddit page?
There is one but it hasn’t been posted in for about 5 years now I think
