What Bunker Boy is going to do NOW, Ana (after the preemptive strike; this segment was from before the strike…) is he will courageously wait for CONGRESS (a majority of both Repubs and Dems…) to greenlight additional Israeli aid (knowing that they will…); then he will make like: “Yeah, I have been saying we should do that!” At this point why would he care about what his MAGA base would want? “I got your votes, suckers! See you in Dubai after I leave!!”
Forecast: We might see a Repub of major stature organize a rebellion in Congress against additional aid to israel (after this off-the-rails preemptive strike…) I hope he ups his security game bigtime! (because some foreign interest who thinks the US is their province will want him offed…)
It will be interesting to see if Progs and Lefts will stow their other differences with this Repub I have in mind for the much more critical goal of curtailing this subjugation of American political process by a foreign power, accomplished by means of both legalized bribery (it didn’t used to be legal!) and blackmail (<joke>by the way: have the Epstein files been released yet??</joke>)
Cenk has spoken to this, the ideological “purity tests” of the Left (I call them “laundry lists”: you have to agree to ALL issues to buy into the efforts of a potential cohort…)
The last thing I would want to see for an Independent alliance is such a purity test. Just two main issues need to be addressed: worker rights+conditions and reducing pollution (and note that many issues on the Turks’ “Populist Plank” fall under the rubrik of addressing worker rights and conditions, such as reducing housing costs…)
[I must confess though: I prefer use of the term “worker” to “populist”; it says more, including the common sense justification for why those issues need to be addressed -it’s because people worked, they are deserving of good treatment, they helped build this country; not because it’s just “popular” or endorsed by many people!]
