This is an episode called “The Litter Myth” from NPR’s Throughline podcast. It’s about how corporations drummed up consumerism post-WWII, and thus the perceived need for their egregious use of plastics, and then put the onus on us to clean up their problem. I love, love, love this podcast, and this is a great episode!
