Now that reminds me; what happened when a King blew off the needs of his people??
Oh yeah:
Self-proclaimed âKingâ calls leader who prevailed against a serial assassin a âDictatorâ -thatâs rich!
I think Trump and the rest of his jolly lot might end up with a bad case of Be Careful What You Wish For.
There are some screwed-over MAGAs that are starting to have a guillotine on their mind, and this guy is talking up a third term? Now thatâs what I call COPE!
Muskâs discussion of mailing checks out is a pretty desperate play to dodge an eventual execution by MAGAsâŠ
I think execution isnât a concern so much as he has possible state criminal exposure. I think another factor they unification of the populous left and right. This is what they fear the most.
Honestly how you can sell firing a bunch of people then re-hiring them as an efficiency move is beyond me.
BUMP
(Using Rupertâs sonâs video against his herosâŠ)
I am impressed with how effective Tesla protests have been; I would have been skeptical. But if you think about how much of a sham it is, it then makes sense that it could be upended the way it has been.
I donât endorse vandalism. FLYERING (NOT stickering -thatâs damageâŠ) is the way to go. Even if there are local ordinances against that, itâs rather breathtaking the way Trump and Musk seem to childishly think there can be asymmetry in the law and no consequences for their bad actions; that they can choose to break laws when it suits them, but there are only to be consequences for those pushing back against bad behavior.
They could have done DOGE in a legal way: get security clearances for people investigating, make recommendations to Congress; done. But they cynically thought that since they have significant financial resources, they could legally sandbag the courts and thumb their nose at a rule of law.
Take a bow, conservative wing of the Supreme Court; enjoy the legal monsters of your own making.
By the way: if you need info for your Tesla fliers, hereâs a good sourceâŠ
Looks like weâre getting that Roberts-ACB-Kavanaugh âKingâ pushback that I had mentioned as a possibility (I wasnât holding my breath, but I thought they might realize that itâs all breaking down now and going to a dangerous place that would force some States to act due to a vacuum of lawâŠ)
Um, If Chris Murphy is correct, the new Congressional CR includes a provision that allows the POTUS to âform military organizatons or groupsâ without Congressional approval. Are they saying he can form his own militias? Maybe something along the lines of Hitlers âelite guardâ? If someone knows more about this, please weigh in.
Trump and the Repubs: do you want cream with that cup of coffee??
Good move: when they block Indies and Dems from the town halls, they hold one for the rest in a separate location and invite the news crews down! They should also stage them when they donât even have them. I would suggest they photo-enlarge a life-sized picture of the candidate who is MIA onto a cardboard backing, and put it behind a podium with a mic, so at least attendees can direct their address to it (also for added comic effectâŠ)
Yoâ Meidas: that was quite the montage! (Iâll forgive you for trying to keep selling us on the Dem Party -you even had some great excepts where people were calling out some of the recent Dem actions, like not tying the budget to just a guarantee that medicare and SSI not get cutâŠ)
Watch the Bunker Boy Cult now go vertical to block a midterm vote. Take your pick:
a civic unrest excuse using the military as a domestic police force; or
voter id laws that disenfranchise anyone who changed their name when they got married (often women -look at how that worked outâŠ)
(including those of MAGAs who workâŠ)
[Full disclosure: I donât mind photo id for voting, so long as it can be readily obtained; some jurisdictions donât have photo id other than for a license or passport -some people donât drive and donât want or need a passport.]
Trump signs order to overhaul federal elections process (linkâŠ)
Note that they roll this out just as the pushback by most is getting quite visible (see the Meidas Touch Town Hall montage -linkâŠ) They know if there is a REAL vote, it will be over for them. This is their Plan B that they always had in the can (Plan C is to call out the military to act as a domestic police if we start having riots in the streetsâŠ)
Of course, the Feds have no control over voting PROCEDURES (other than ones that completely block voters, like poll taxes and tests,); per the Constitution, that is all dictated by the States. But no matter to some people who want to do a coup against the Constitution! (I found it so laughable when Vance said at the Repub Convention that they would protect âThe Republicâ, and I laugh heartily nowâŠ)
Expect A LOT of State court fights. Hats off to those who designed the Constitution! Not having uniform procedures was a feature, not a bug; it makes it much harder now to institute vote-suppressing features with a decree by a central authoritarian.
[I know how to address the voter id issue, but Iâd rather not discuss it here on this open forum and then Rethuglicans go about closing the option down before it is even enabled.]

So much for the Dem strategy of just wait until the midtermsâŠ
US House Speaker Johnson says Congress can âeliminateâ district courts (linkâŠ)
I guess thatâs what the Dems get for being civil and not packing the Supreme Court -hey, they could have done that; just sayinââŠ
Au contrere, mon frere! Who do you think they will suggest make those machines??
This goes right to my dystopian Idiocracy joke that we will be voting at a 7-11 using a scratch-off, and you swipe it and it says âTRUMP WINS!â
They know in a real vote they will lose; they are doing everything possible now to set up massive voter suppressionâŠ
James: youâre completely whistling past the graveyard on a junta and/or voter suppression.
As to the restoration of a Dem Party: ridiculous. The first thing they would do is go: âNow letâs see; how can we save the corporations of our owners?â
In the Dem Party, the tail wags the dog now that its corporate owners have decided to greedily write off the voting majority of worker interests; always will. I understand you have tons of connections and influence there and would like to see that outcome of the Dems being completely back in control; itâs just not an option for someone who works and also wants to see serious efforts made on cutting down on pollutionâŠ
What? With his championship gaming skills? And getting backup from pros like âHairy Ballzâ?? And the killer software he did for Paypal/Thiel? (Thiel: âPLEASE; LEAVE! Hereâs a lavish exit packageâŠâ) His handling of DOS attacks at ââXââ? His demonstrated mastery of accounting at DOGE? (linkâŠ) To speak nothing of the transparency with which he did it?? (linkâŠ)
Jamie Dimon tells me âheâs our Einstenâ, and his mother thinks heâs fantastic at software. I think heâs EMINENTLY qualified.
Hey Jamie: you been loading up your JP Morgan clients on Tesla stock lately??
