Since 2015 we’ve had to watch politicians and media outlets and influential people whittling down the empathy of average Americans. The economic divide pressing people has compounded how easy it is for culture wars to inflame the worst impulses of people who already hate others for their own failings or misfortunes.
If Trump did nothing it’d be an improvement, he used the murder of those politicians to attack their governor. Least caring president in history.

The pointless fight in Congress over a floor prayer was completely avoidable. If you were a Dem and thought the Repubs were cosplaying (as they often do after school shootings…), you could have opted to take a bathroom break or whatever and just ignore it.
It’s not inconceivable that SOME Repubs were sincere in a call for a prayer; but I don’t have the experience Dems in Congress have with the Repubs there…
OK, it’s hard at the moment to get unbiased info on him. But it appears he was siloed on the Internet, where he cultivated crackpot ideas from an online tribe.
He’s a product of gun-nut culture. He came from a conservative family that encouraged that (similar to the way the mother of Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook shooter, strongly encouraged the use and access to guns when he was clearly a kid with mental issues…)
Time for more thoughts and prayers cosplaying, instead of getting serious about gun registration and licensure. [This incident was not a mass casualty one, like many of the school shootings; but special permits for assault weapons and high capacity magazines, like if you’re a licensed armored truck guard, also needs to be reinstated.] Time to leave cracker States and crackpots like Clarence Thomas to their own self-destructive devices.
I’m not guaranteeing that making access to guns more regulated would have prevented this specific incident -but it might have. Why in other countries where there are strong regulations for guns, they are not visited with this curse again and again?

At the least, such regs would reduce the incidence of these killings -and that can only be a good thing.
“Well regulated militia”, people; registration and licensure IS sanctioned by the Constitution. And not every person should have access to automatic or assault weapons and high capacity magazines for the same analogous reason that you don’t have a right to stow an A-bomb in your basement. There’s a damn good reason the Thompson submachine gun is illegal (though I know Clarence Thomas would just love to reintroduce the carnage in the streets that we had with it in the 1920s…) You have a right to a gun in the US solely for PRACTICAL self-defense, hunting, or as a hobby. [Note that the ATF furnishes collectors with permits for Thompsons, covering the rare hobbyist need.]
These MAGAs and Repubs are desperately seeking this shooting as a reprieve from their across-the-board losses. They want sane people to get distracted and go down the rabbit hole as to what the shooter’s precise ideology was. It’s this simple: it’s a byproduct of access to too many guns, thanks to a lawless culture that has been promoted by the Repub Supreme Court majority and Repubs in Congress.

There is a good argument to be made that someone like Mossad would have a strong motive to stage the Kirk shooting, to sow division in the US at a time when both the popular Right and Left are figuring out that the US has been co-opted by Israel, and starting to join hands in opposing them. In the case of Epstein, the quantity of Mossad breadcrumbs is absurd! But part of the problem in the Kirk shooting is an FBI and DOJ that lacks any credibility in terms of competence. If we had a conscientious FBI+DOJ, there would be much less of a rush to jump to a conspiracy in this shooting, right? I think we should be patient and accrue more evidence in the Kirk shooting; if it was staged, an inconsistency will eventually out.
Krystal asks, like an inveterate Russian: so what if it’s found to be fishy? Will we ever get access to the facts that breaks it open, or will they be able to sit on that info??
I think it will eventually out. What Massey has revealed in Congressional hearings has already started a rupture in the Epstein coverup. Even if Massey’s Discharge Petition should not prevail, between the evidence that is now being compiled by victims and Senators and House members relating that info on the floor -it’s coming down on the Epstein case. We won’t know until that info is related in detail (particularly financial flows…), but I think that will show as Mossad Kompromat. Hey, if it’s just a sex ring for profit, and Mossad was an incidental player, that will out too; right?
On the Kirk shooting being staged, I would be patient and go with the most likely explanation that hard facts eventually supports. So far we have not heard a defense posited by the shooter.
Now if a Jack Ruby shows up and kills the shooter, that will stink on ice!

I’m not at all shocked about that! ONE of the conspiracies of 9/11 was that the WTC buildings had not been built with a sufficient margin of safety. The Department of Buildings bent to the desires of the Rockefellers -full story here:

OK; those incidents are not an “apples to apples” comparison; but a lot more people would have survived on 9/11 had the WTC building been built to the same safety margin as the Empire State Building.
Back to WTC 7 and how it could have collapsed: knowing how cheezy the WTC buildings were, there were significant seismic tremors when WTC 1 and 2 came down. You think that would be enough to also take down 7? Having been up in the original WTC towers on a windy day -hell yeah!
[The other conspiracy of 9/11 was an FBI field agent having told the head of the FBI, who would have told the NSC, that Al Qaeda was training to fly a jet into a building. Why weren’t they picked up once that came to light before 9/11? Because Cheney was looking for a blank check…]
