LOL, I’ll do what I can! :joy:

I think I just came up with a new phrase. Instead of saying f*ck say facism

“I’m gonna slap the facism outta yo ass”

It would go over big time; We by and large hate fascism (and racists and bigots) here!

This is a lovely message. I had to search for it because the video wouldn’t play for some reason. (It probably doesn’t help that I’m not on TikTok.) My point is that It was worth tracking down!

I had no idea AOC was a knitter, and the criticism is beyond stupid. She’s not supposed to de-stress with a hobby? Wow.

I fully agree with the video. We have the right to bring peace into our lives, and in times like these, that is resistance too.

So much of the American model is about making us (individuals, the public, end users) want to beat up on ourselves. It’s always “your fault.” It’s in our advertising, governance, and corporate defense. So, when we build ourselves up, we are saying NO to that messaging. It’s the consequences of that toxic messaging that they exploit.

Hobbies are a wonderful tool for self-empowerment and creativity. They remind us to stay curious and engaged. They can lead us to community too. Thank you so much for sharing.

I don’t knit. I pursued it once and met some lovely people. Then, life introduced a big change, and I had to move. I’d not been part of the group long, but I still remember them fondly. I sew though, and this reminds me to get back to it!
