Here’s another idea to add to the ones already discussed at the working meeting. Please feel free to use/adapt/ignore!

• Team Cenk vs. Team Brett

  • What Ope Hope will be doing

    • All Ope Hope volunteers on Zoom that day will be put on Team Cenk or Team Brett
    • Volunteers are asked to call as many elected officials as they can within 10 minutes.
    • A successful call is a voicemail message left or talking to a staffer.

  • What Cenk & Brett will be doing (what the viewers will see):

    • Cenk explains the premise and how you too as a viewer can call your elected officials
    • Cenk and Brett give a pep talk to their team, then the clock starts.
    • Cenk and Brett shoot the breeze Old School style, or are given a topic

  • The moment of truth:

    • After 10 minutes, the number of calls for each team is tabulated (via chat on Zoom) and announced by Kara
    • If Team Brett loses, Brett has to host (or appear on) Hour 1 on Friday.
    • If Team Cenk loses, Cenk has to host (or appear on) Happy Half Hour on Wednesday.

excellent!

i think we could also have rebellion pac candidates being interviewed while we’re calling.

as well as ticker for money raised during the event for rebellion pac. first thousand $’s matched by operation hope

These are excellent ideas. Cenk is already interviewing Rebellion PAC candidates, so that’s something that’s hopefully relatively straightforward to build off of. There’s so much potential for audience participation, volunteering, and even donating.
