Idea:
Boycotting Disney was a huge success in getting the FCC to not screw around with broadcasting licenses (Kimmel…); right?
You can replace Ellison’s proprietary “Oracle” product with open source “postgres” (link…):
Google: Replace Oracle with postgres
What if a pledge was drafted for CIOs/CTOs/CEOs[1] to sign that would commit to get off of Oracle and move to postgres? (in, say, 2 years??)
And what if a boycott was commenced of companies refusing to sign the pledge after having been sent it after, say, 14 days?
To do this requires the following:

A prestigious activist organization to sponsor it who can enlist noteworthy technical specialists to rebut any public fraudulent excuses made as to why it’s not possible (such as Bruce Momjian -link…- or any other technical spokespeople he deigns as technically qualified and noteworthy…);

legal advisors who can craft the pledge, so as to not allow any wiggle room for signers to escape it by means of a loophole;

choosing the companies to target that would be most susceptible to the pressure of their consumers (especially those consumers who have had enough of Israel running the US to the detriment of the lives of Americans and/or Palestinian civilians -not engaging in violence, of course…); and
-
some funds to promote it online (because as soon as Larry’s minions see this getting traction, they will try and kill the baby in the crib!)
