MTG's 'Gulf of America' Sparks CHAOS in Congress

Turks Segment:

It hurts my brain to try and follow MTG. Sorry Cenk: she was a disgrace to have on. Maybe there would be a strategic reason to have it out with Bannon -but not her.

And it sucked real bad that you also had Spicer on too. He is just a pure propagandist (he doesn’t even formulate MAGA ideology; he just reads scripts from MAGA ideologues, after making an appearance on Dancing With the Stars…)

I agree 100%. MTG being at TYT seemed to me so fake. I think she just wanted to present herself as a normal and fair person to the progressives. She has aspirations for a higher post in government, such as Senator, possibly even for POTUS, especially if AOC decides to run. MTG will not stand for that.

“We gotta’ fight the GAZPACHO!”

I did not — could not — watch this. Just no. I hear enough about this “leader” as it is, but I am glad Cenk met with her. John Idarola loathes her and seeing as JI doesn’t seem to like disliking anyone, I think that says a lot about what people endure in this person’s presence.

Whether we like it or not, she has influence. And anyone who follows her might watch this conversation and see her more clearly and maybe even resolve some doubts about their own party. Because the Republicans use people like MTG to draw in more voters and then use their greater power to minimize their existence. Like a swapping-out of sorts. They want MTG to go away but leave her wayward flock.

But there’s a reason people were drawn in by MTG. And those people may finally realize that they want change enough to finally ask the hard questions. I dream of the day when voters from both sides finally accept that politics and issues are not black and white.

And as infuriating as it is, the Republican infighting offers a spark of hope. I do not think MTG would’ve spoken to Cenk if she didn’t feel her position within the GOP was being threatened.

To be perfectly honest, rightwing infighting gives me more hope than leftwing infighting. And I think it’s because rightwing infighting is still challenging the establishment. Leftwing infighting can feel like: ‘if we don’t find the perfect way to move forward, let’s stand still.’

I do not like MTG, but I do like how CLEAR she is… When she spoke against her Republican colleague having more time at home with her child, she referenced soldiers who can go a year before meeting their child for the first time.

We can, “WTF! What are saying?” And I do. But she’s also pulling back the curtain on GOP lies so overtly that the truth has got to start having consequences. I hope! Because FFS, it’s so obvious that the GOP would sooner have women confined to their homes… Even MTG knows this, but she doesn’t know when to keep that quiet.

So, yeah, I say let her talk and talk and ruin the GOP’s veneer. Maybe then, the Democratic Party’s facade will irrevocably crack too. The black and white stuff helps the Dems and so long as they look like they care, the left infighting preserves the status quo.

That’s how I see it anyway. I’m bothered by the View’s BS more than MTG’s because we KNOW MTG is a mess. But the View gets a pass again and again even when their hypocrisy is on full display. But I guess theirs is still too polished? I don’t know. But I trust Cenk. He takes risks many of us wouldn’t, but he’s trying to move us forward. I respect that.
