My plan on how to deal with the homelessness problem

The situation is grim. In more ways than one and on all fronts. The government is using it as a corruption scheme and real people those who already are homeless and the ones who are hurting economically on the verge of it. Not to mention that there is a middle class still, the kind that minds more the material affects than the spiritual/humanitarian/societal type of effects. That move elections. I propose the solution being to zone for and build renewable habitation units.

Underground 1 bedroom apartments beneath bike paths, edible landscapes, and solar paneled roofs.

I figure if it’s zoned for bike paths only people would be incentivized to save up for a place in the free market.

Ideally once the population is in one spot doctors and psychiatrist could just go to one spot to provide help to that community. And everyone can rejoin the rat race at their own pace.

Conservatives will always cry about costs. I propose a billionaire tax or a cap on public servant wealth at $1M everything after that should be given to The People. Crooks should not get into public office to get rich. Also, as a way for the place to pay for itself, I propose a livestream channel so people who stay there can talk to the community and people could help them monetarily if they wanted. After the place had paid for itself we could figure out individual contributions. Also i think it should be under the administration of the university system so that the studies of the situation stay locally and hopefully less corruption would happen.

I understand we are not in power right now. But we have to tell The People we mean it this time! If they give us The House in 2026 we should promise to give them the Speaker if they are mad enough to break into the Capitol again.

That sounds lovely. While I would feel a skosch claustrophobic underground, there are ways to alleviate that. I’d vote for you!

Thank you. Yea i was thinking tv monitor windows with a view?:sweat_smile: yea. I have been thinking on it for a long time. Individually i plant edible plants in my yard so homeless people walking past can eat. Some day when I have money. i was thinking of building a public restroom/shower for people who are out here who might need to look fresh for a job interview or something. Anything that could help within my means. But if I could affect policy this is the direction I’d want our tax dollars spent rather than going to the pockets of politicians or their friends. I don’t think one night shelter space is working to solve the problem.

About a year ago I started working on a tiny house project. I am just now getting it off the ground. Although there was a recent death in my friends family. This has has caused us to do a bit of regrouping. The goal is to use shipping containers and hempcrete. Also to use premanufactured forms this should produce a final product that is very affordable. I have a YouTube channel I just posted a video chronicling the endeavor.
