My Thoughts on the Night Before the Inauguration

I wonder: how many years do we have left?

November 8, 1923: Hitler attempted a coup against his government and was arrested, which is where he wrote Mien Kampf-one of Donald Trump’s favorite works. Hitler lost the 1933 Presidential Election but was made Chancellor. As such, he used his Nazi Party, which was the majority, to pass laws that made him a dictator, the Führer, on August 2, 1934, two hours after the elected president died. Less than eight years later, on January 20, 1942, Hitler fully implemented the Final Solution, and we weren’t able to stop him until May 7, 1945.

That’s a lot of horror in less than 22 years!

January 6, 2021: Trump attempted a coup against our government after losing his reelection bid following his 2017 presidency, which he started officially campaigning for in June of 2015 by appealing to White Supremacy. Now, Trump has won his second reelection bid by appealing to White Supremacy again and will be sworn in on January 20, 2025. With Project 2025 well underway and Trump openly stating his Fascistic goals of supreme power and hostile takeovers, where will you and yours be in less than 8 years? We’ve already had almost 10.

Hitler’s last 12 years were his most horrific!

I just feel sick watching this, knowing what their plans are and being helpless to do anything to stop it. How are you doing?

Don’t forget the Beer Hall Putsch in Munich [1923] that started the whole thing. The parallels are uncanny. Rich oligarchs taking over the press , high unemployment, the Treaty of Versaille demanding the state paying for the war. Check out Babylon Berlin on MHZ Choice. Superb

You’re exactly right! The Beer Hall Putsch is the failed coup attempt I was referring to, and, as you said, the similarities are eerie. It’s like they’ve been copying and pasting that terrible time in history and trying to recreate it now. I hope you are doing well, Jack. How have you been?

Hey Andrea , I’m good, just coping. Are you ok? hope to see you tomorrow night for the town hall Take care, Jack

Unfortunately, my health has been frustrating lately. My FMD (fibromuscular dysplasia) has had me in and out of the hospital because of blood pressure from both of my carotid arteries twisting and turning, aneurysms–in my head and just above my heart, other heart issues that are kind of par for the course, and constant migraines, and my medications don’t seem to want to play nicely with me. I’m sure I’ll be fine, and hopefully, I’ll be able to get in to see my doctor at the Mayo Clinic soon if my insurance quits being difficult with pre-authorizations and stuff I need again because it’s a new year. Anyway, I need to stop complaining because it could be worse. I’m going to do my best to make the meeting.:crossed_fingers:

Damn Andrea , please get well soon . I hate what you are going through. I wish you well Jack

I’m sorry to put all of that on you! Though I’m not doing great now, I’m sure I will be soon. Thank you, Jack!

I’ve always thought the 22nd amendment was an obstacle to democracy but now I see it as a blessing.

Let’s hope it’s still there in four years.

No worries. Just be straight and emphatic with doctors. I’ve dealt with them my whole life and you deserve the best treatment. Hang in there , Jack
