I’m gonna try and keep this brief. Cenks responses to the 2 comments, from Friday’s first hour, were cathartic FOR ME. I can only imagine how good it was for him. NO NOTES / CHEFS KISS!. I know what set him off. The first one told Cenk to “sit down”. That was the soark. I know, for me, that would’ve been the trigger. Not the rest of it, but “sit down” ain’t gonna fly. Not from some do nothing moron.I needed a cigarette when he was done (for any of the old folks) Listen, Cenk and Ana are the real thing and they do not owe anyone, anything, let alone some kind of apology or justification for their positions. As I’ve said for a long time, his origin story coupled with his body of work, SPEAKS FOR ITS FG self. Just like the grifters on the right, when they say something patently absurd, you scratch your head. Like, I know they’re smart, so why say something so goddam dumb. Just follow the money, or in many cases, follow the clicks and likes.How many among us have the stones to, literally, tell their boss, who is trying to hand you generational wealth, to stick the job in his/her ass!!! And I could not agree with you more. I see this bullshit every day in the Live Chats and even over in the Discord. And every time we try to have a conversation with these “hate watchers”; all they do is say we are just TYT lovers and never have any real substance to their objections or arguments. We do get those members every so often tho that will have a real conversation and to those people I say Thanks and pls continue to let us know your opinions so that we can all move forward and learn from one another.

I totally agree. I can’t believe the amount of shit Cenk and Ana must receive, I’m surprised that Cenk’s reaction on last Friday’s show doesn’t happen more often. I started watching TYT in 2018 when my Vizio TV finally bit the dust and found them on Youtube. Later, I had to stop subscribing because of medical debt but re-upted in 2022 , I think. They have the moral clarity that you don’t see on mainstream media and few on independent media. I remember back in 2010-11 that because of a fluke I received free cable in my apartment {after Katrina } , I saw Cenk on MSNBC and said Wow , this guy is good , he’s not regurgitating the daily pablum . So years later I found him on TYT and have never looked back . If we want a living democracy , we need these truth sayers and Cassandra’s in media. The 4th estate is essential because we are now seeing corporatism and autocracy killing our country as well as destroying the Constitution . Congress needs to wake up and fumigate these traitors in our midst. Jack

In my book; the “Far Left” is no different than the “Far-Right” in that no matter what you say to them and how you logically explain things to them they do not really listen to anything and you MUST agree with them 100% or you are a MAGAt/Trump Supporter

Some people just do not get it.
You can disagree with Cenk’s strategy, but you can’t disagree with why he is doing it.
Anyone who thinks he’s going far-right or is on board with the worst parts of MAGA is not paying attention or is purposely being dishonest.
He wants to bring together people who agree on important issues that the establishment refuses to act on.
People should be asking themselves “Am I against paid family leave? Am I against peace? Am I against getting money out of politics?” My guess is they are for these things. Well, a lot of people on the right also agree with them. Should we turn people away who want the same things we do?
Maybe you think the plank should go further. Nothing’s stopping anyone from fighting for universal healthcare. But you’re not going to get MAGA to sign onto something like that. That’s a separate fight. This fight is to unite like-minded people who already agree, not to win over people on new issues they don’t agree on.
There are some MAGA who have deeply problematic views on race, LGBTQIA+ rights, and more. That’s not what the plank is about. Cenk has come out hundreds if not thousands of times against racism and homophobia. He and we will stand our ground on those issues. But that’s not what this fight is about. This fight is to unify people behind common policies and going after the oligarchy that is dividing us. If you don’t agree that that’s the right strategy, then you don’t have to sign on.

That’s very kind of you to say, Jack. @Galphar’s post was what got me thinking more about it, when he said “Some people just don’t get it.”
I tried to think of what the disconnect is, and I think what I said is probably at least part of it — although I don’t want to speak for Cenk, that’s my interpretation at least. And it’s not meant as a criticism of anyone, just as an explanation. If someone thinks it doesn’t go far enough, here’s another way to consider things.
The fact that some on the right are taking up Cenk’s wording about a scalpel versus a hatchet is one small sign that his strategy of getting through to them has started to work.
Separately from this, I definitely think more is needed than just the Populist Plank, especially now. I think progressives need to fight Trump tooth and nail, and fight for progressive values we have been. But I can and do support the populist plank while also I’m figuring out other ways to move forward.
It’s so hard not to watch the show or any News! (Don’t tell my care team I’m on the discussion boards a little today.
