He’s selling pardons in broad daylight, Congress is being feckless not even bothering to so much as draft legislation to curtail it -and we’re supposed to play like it’s inconceivable that he was personally bribed to deliver on this nonsense??

Yeah, but: my point was given his track record of being amoral and brazenly denying facts, I see his primary inducement is always money.
We won’t ever provably know until someone in his circle spills the beans. But given his behavioral history, I’ll go with money as the primary impetus.
Look at the way he and his Repub enablers are ignoring the 13 year-old abuse allegations that has turned up in the files? He only cares about money! He has no shame whatsoever. Money justifies everything…
