It’s so cool how this group has grown (I used to be too shy to even show my face instead of a picture). The phone bank was fun, I had a lot of encouraging people! I had to stay on the website to make sure I didn’t screw up the name or anything, so didn’t have the Zoom screen open; next time I’ll keep my dogs out of the room!

I don’t think I’ll be able to do it next week, and probably not the week after, but I can for sure make it the week after that. My daughter has a therapy appointment every Wednesday at 3:00, so by the time we’re home and the dogs and cat are fed, it’s around 5:00. Thank you again for the encouragement! 
PS Last week I mentioned that we should do a yearly TYT Family Reunion. How fun would that be?! It might start out small the first year, but I’m sure it will grow. Maybe it could even be a bit of a fundraiser. What do you think?

Yeah, I did the same thing. I’m sure there is a way to have the screens side by side, but I was afraid something would go wrong and I would lose the call screen. That’s funny about your dogs. I didn’t see it, but thought is was hilarious when someone mentioned it, lol!

I’m finally back! I like the idea of a TYT Family Reunion. We tried to do something similar with TYT Army back when that was still around, but it ended up petering out. But I would be more hopeful it would work over Zoom because people see each other, and we’ve done things live together like the phone banking. Definitely something I would be on board for!

I hope you all are having a great week! Please know how sorry I am for missing the meeting and phone banking last night. Unfortunately, I ended up going to the ER during the main show on Wednesday due to a migraine. (I had severe pain and was throwing up since Tuesday morning.) Anyway, I got out of the hospital around noon today and was excited to get outside and enjoy (albeit quietly) the rest of this beautiful day. Thank you for your understanding, I look forward to seeing everyone next Wednesday!

I think it would be so much fun! (Plus, it could maybe double as a yearly fundraiser.) The first year might be small and simple, but it would definitely keep growing.

I was thinking @eclecticmisc meant was that organizing an in-person event might be easier because we meet in Zoom every week. I would love it to be an annual in-person TYT Family Reunion! I’m already picturing it in my mind.

I’m glad you’re out of the hospital. Don’t ever feel you need to apologize for taking care of yourself, especially given the time and effort you put into providing empathy and encouragement to the rest of us.

I wanted to do the phone banking but it was during my commute home and it just wasn’t working.

I was thinking just virtual / Zoom, but maybe it could be hybrid (or have a hybrid portion) so people who are able to travel in person can be there, and those who can’t are still included?
I love the idea of a T-shirt, too! We have a lot of creative minds in Operation Hope, so I’m sure someone could come up with a fun idea. I have zero sense of design or fashion, as I’m sure my wife would confirm.

If it was a hybrid you could add in Discord Video/Voice too. We have a “Stage” type channel that would basically be Cenk and some others on stage and then the “Audience” requests to talk and are moved up to the “Stage” and talk. It would be a great way to do a Q & A townhall
