Ranked choice voting needs more support- ALL 50 states-- beyond verbal here or as a comment on chat on the main site. Locally my state has an active RCV org that has succeeded in starting RCV at the state and local levels. City of Seattle will start using it for all electtive offices soon- 2024 or 2025. State has legislation that allows any city/county to give it a try. City of Tacoma already uses it. Go to FairVoteWA online to find out how they did it.

Caveat- State of WA is a top two primary state already, regardless of political party affliation. A small number of statewide and local office elections have been both GOP-especially east of the Cascade crest in eastern WA.
