Since when is tRump a “Tech Billionaire”? He and his family made their money in Real Estate not IT/Tech

@Galphar, the video doesn’t categorize Trump as a tech billionaire; rather, it discusses how his presidency has set the stage for tech billionaires like Peter Thiel to exert significant influence in politics. The focus is on the broader implications of this influence, particularly how these tech leaders are shaping political narratives and supporting candidates like JD Vance. It’s an important discussion about the intersection of wealth and politics, and how it could affect our future.

Tech has always been deep into politics. back in the day CIA used to start coups in Iran, now they use social media for that. NATO, China, Russia, all have been using tech to surveil, keep political tabs on people, institgate riots and influence elections. Has been going on for 20 years. This isn’t anything new.

The new thing in past decade is that tech is becoming a threat to banks with all the digital currencies cropping up. That wasn’t a big deal until tech billionaires were donating to Dems who also take donations from big banks. But now we are seeing a split where banks are on the dem side while techies are going more conservative. If JPM controlled the CBDC, Dems wouldn’t have an issue with it. But if techies control it, Banks and hence Dems wont like it.

It wont change things that much for common people. Its still going to be the oligopoly in power. The tech revolution is coming. If we don’t spearhead it, other countries will then set it up globally based on their terms. So we have to get ahead. And also make sure we, the people, have control over it.

Which is why there need to be regulations on how these things will be implemented. But Dems don’t want to do that either because it will restrict pentagon’s ability to use tech companies for what they wanna use it for - geopolitical upheavals to maintain US dominance on world stage by controlling world finance. Nice little conundrum we have here.

It seems like everything with our government is a big catch-22 for 99% of us. Damned if they do, and damned if they don’t.
