While I have a lot of problems with AOC, her rebuttal to this was on the money: “If you are worried about getting charged for doing crimes -don’t do crimes!” (sic.)
It’s sort of like that How Not to Get Your Ass Kicked By the Police sketch that Chris Rock did.
That will piss off voters EVEN MORE that nothing is getting done this year!
Some Dems love this because it will sidestep a collision with the interests of their Israel donors (not just AIPAC…)
News Flash: almost all of the Repubs, Johnson, most of the Dems, and the Trump admin are all gunning for a war with Iran! They are all gunning for gas prices to go through the roof.
Just remember ladies and gents: he LOVES inflation!
“Gee…why are all these voters suddenly interested in socialism?”
I still maintain that DSA can’t work in many places in the US; to corral enough Reps for the House, a pro-working people’s party has to be done as an Independent Party alliance. DSA is legally locked out of the Dem Party; they would be better served by not having the bad brand of a mostly Israel First/pro corporate monopolies party.
DSA works where voters are informed/educated. You can’t fight the 40 years of dumbing down in education across the country (kicked off by Reagan…) Exhibit 1 is the outcome of the Massie vote in a ““Christian”” Evangelical Kentucky. I would have welcomed DSA to run a candidate there against Gallrein for the midterms and see how s/he did!
Ask him if he would prefer to see more pro-working class Reps seated sooner as Independents as opposed to years later as Dems!
DSA, while I welcome where it can win, is an attempt to redefine the Dem Party. Being legally locked out of it, it will take FOREVER (well…many years…) to get it to change. Meanwhile we have the threats of nuclear war, climate meltdown, societal collapse -time is way too tight! We need a lot more people in Congress seated as Independents ASAP! You can get the functional equivalent of a party by having an alliance of Independents overseen by ex-Sanders campaign and pro-DSA people to enforce a shortlist of working class issues (bouncing out anybody who goes off the reservation on that shortlist…)
