FORTUNATELY the States are in the driver’s seat(s)! That was the wisdom of the Founders NOT having centralized voting protocol controls.
So this will only effect “Trump States”; other States will give them the finger. And note I am saying “Trump States”, and not MAGA or Repub ones. Many are bagging Bunker Boy now, post Medicare cuts and DISASTROUS execution of tariff policy.
Maybe they think they will have Vance refuse votes at the time of congressional confirmation? But a recent rule change after J6 has reduced the role of the VP in such situations to a ceremonial one (that might have worked on J6, but Pence passed on that…)
