I already emailed and got a reply about possibly becoming TN state captain.

I have an angle on how to get two people possibly in TN to sign the Populist Plank.

Justin Pearson, one of the Tennessee Three, recently announced he’s running to unseat Steve Cohen! This is big because Cohen’s considered one of the most progressive members in Congress, but he too often goes along with what the establishment wants and takes corporate PAC money.

Pearson is a very strong progressive and has been even more active locally recently, including he and his brother protesting Musk’s gas-belching data center in Memphis. He spoke at a No Kings rally.

So what I’m thinking is

• Cohen is a progressive and wants to keep his seat
• Pearson is a progressive and wants to win support

Maybe they would each want to sign the PP to support their bona fides as progressives? I already wrote both of them earlier but got a response/non-response from Cohen’s office and didn’t hear from Pearson’s team.

Anyone have any relationship with either of them? If not, I can try again. This is a hard one to make a call about, so I might try to see if I can ask them in person unless someone already has a relationship or wants to. I know we have at least two other tyt.com chatters from the Memphis area, but I don’t know if they’re in Operation Hope or not.

As state captain I’ll be helping facilitate and organize things for Operation Hope with volunteers from Tennessee (we are the Volunteer State, after all :smiley: ). My first task is to organize our spreadsheet with contact information and go from there. I’ll post on here with any other updates as they come up.

I’m excited to see where the RevolYOUtion takes us. Looking forward to working with everyone!
