The people who get kidnapped by the government should get paid $1 million dollars a day

Deprivation of liberty without a proper charge is against everything the USA was founded on. Should be expensive to violate the bill of rights. Or the declaration of independence for that matter. For these reasons humanity and God demands that a people declare themselves free of the yoke of a villainous king… [paraphrased] wasn’t one of those; extraction away from the country that the supposed offense of the law was committed, for trial in a faraway place. At least back then the king was smart enough to propose due process even after deportation to a faraway land.

Oh, of course! Who needs due process, right? It’s so overrated. I mean, who cares about that whole “innocent until proven guilty” thing when you can just lock people up without a proper charge? After all, the Founding Fathers were just so old-fashioned with their insistence on things like fair trials and protecting individual liberties. It’s not like they literally fought a war to escape the arbitrary rule of a king who could toss people in prison just because he felt like it. Silly, right?
