One of our top priorities should be building a network of campaigns, to engage with the voting population on a new level. To clarify my comments during the meeting in response to Cenk’s question, this is how we combat the narrative of being labeled as biased. We need to be proactive, in order to dominate the narrative. They will call us biased, unserious and dangerous extremists, if they even acknowledge us at all. The People’s Congressional project can accomplish these goals and counteract some of the challenges we are sure to face.
General structure- Organize and unite a group of congressional representatives and candidates behind the goals of standing against political corruption and breaking the gridlock created in congress in order to accomplish and ultimately enact socioeconomic populist policies. Open discussion with the public, organized and guided by our Reps on an existing platform(s) such twitch, discord, zoom, etc. all of the above. Where the voice of the people comes first, true bottom up infrastructure. We build a public congress to directly generate legislation and deliberate on it. Basically we’re gonna be doing it without them, w/o the parties, without the corruption, bypassing all the roadblocks that work against the people.
Goals- apply populist pressure to congress, build a grassroots pipeline to leadership, create news worthy action drawing attention to our cause, engage in the process in good faith to accomplish the will of the people, To build a Massive campaign coalition, with current and future candidates to participate, networking and communication we can unite our messaging and amplify our voices, to help ignite the voting population and bridge the gap between the base and our representatives, while pushing corruption free populism and take over the political narrative going into 2026 surrounding our candidates.
Potential outcome; actually “pass” legislation and have a presidential candidate like Jill Stein or Marianne Williamson “sign” it into law which would be the official seal of approval, the endorsement of the people. This is what we could take to congress, with as many sitting congressional backers as possible, we start to introduce the people’s resolutions. We could focus on state legislature as well at that point, with a national movement, local campaigns and activists in all 50 states working in unison. Where our candidates can work directly with their communities and converse on a national platform with voters to help shape the potential legislation. Starting with the most popular policies in the country!
