I’ve just heard Marco Rubio spout many lies justifying war against Iran . They are all false. Iran didn’t attack us. We attacked Iran in conjunction with Israel. We are complicit . There are some addicted to power , with Israel , fueled by Zionism , a cancer of hate, weapons, money , lies. Our first strike in the war took out Khomeini, the supreme leader. We also killed 180 young children in Mindab at a school. Ironically , fifty-eight years ago on March 16, 1968 , Charlie Company killed hundreds of civilians in Vietnam in what is known as the My Lai Massacre. Present day , we are joined to the hip with Israel, killing civilians in Gaza, Iran and elsewhere . We allow Nazi thugs ,known as ICE to terrorize civilians at home here in the US. Why this thirst for blood and cruelty? Don’t people realize the consequences , the needless suffering , the excruciating pain? Over the weekend I watched a superb film, “ Taking Chance “ with Kevin Bacon as the lead. He portrays a Marine volunteering for escort duty for a soldier killed in the Iraq war . The Marine killed was nineteen years old. The film shows the extreme care of how the fallen are treated in preparation of handing the deceased back to the family. This hit me hard as my father was a Marine who suffered PTSD and it claimed his life. As a child I remembered the whole process which is eloquently shown in the film . War has consequences . It’s brutal for the living , it claims lives and the survivors suffer the aftermath . So why Korea , Vietnam , Lebanon, Iran-Contra , Syria , Iraq , Afghanistan, regimes in South America, Ukraine, fear of Russia, and China being an economic powerhouse ? We once were a proud nation but now we are so scared and impotent that we have to thrash out at everybody ? We can live peacefully by helping ourselves , then helping others. Strengthen treaties , not sanction and inflict tariffs on nations. Use diplomacy strategically with no hidden agendas or bombs. We once were a functional Constitutional republic. I wish our government could function but it isn’t. It takes courage and adherence to the law of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It means putting a hard stop to Maga, which is a faction. Read James Madison’s Federalist Paper # 10. We cannot abide Fascism or authoritarianism . There are many in our leadership that are traitors . They have to be held accountable . Every one to the full extant of the law. No more Garlands, Bill Barrs or antiquated Boy Scout thinking of Robert Mueller . Lastly, no more wars . I think every day of our men and women possibly getting into a meat grinder of a war that our craven politicians are salivating for. NO. Absolutely no. Just vote for progressives that say no war. No donor class. Money out of politics .No Troops overseas .No money to Israel. This insanity stops now. Jack Callahan
