Let’s make a simple change that would VISIBLY help everyone: Require the TSA checkpoint to be at each gate and ditch the single choke point. This would keep you from having to get to the airport 3 hours ahead of time, about 90% less standing in line, and the cost could be shouldered by the airlines and airports.
I think we should have smaller planes and airports. Part of our security issues and risks in general have to do with our flight sizes being so large.
Planes need to be efficient sizing the tool for the job is part of this. At some point air lift should be handled by an airship (modernized) not an airplane.
