The Progressive Voice seems ok, however the claims your talking about are isolated and 6 years old. I would also say they seem based on this interview here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PobmB67srT8&ab_channel=AfricanDiasporaNewsChannel) it seems the victim was attempting to generate political capital out of the accusations. That is a huge red flag if you really have a case, that could derail your chances of recovering damages.
So your fears are assuaged. Just be more careful where you collect your information. When you get a piece of information it is best to do due diligence before you spread it around.
