It’s a bit better lit than the rooms we mostly played in back in the day. Except for the HST (Hubble Space Telescope) Thursday Lunch AD&D group. We had plenty of light for those sessions! LOL!

I’m so sorry to hear about your husband’s fall, that sounds very painful. I hope that he’s recovering and is better soon.

The hubs is still in the hospital. They’re going to get him placed in a care facility for his recovery. I’m not entirely clear on whether his pelvis is fractured or if its his femur. Either way, at least it doesn’t look like he’ll need surgery.

I feel so bad for you guys! That must be so frustrating and heartbreaking! I mean, geez, how do they not know? How is his pain? No surgery is great news, though. :crossed_fingers:

It’s not that they don’t know, it’s just that I’ve gotten different info from different doctors. Plus my hubs isn’t 100% present to really relay the details to me.

Good luck staying on top of everything. Be forewarned care facilities are often not so care-ful.

:disappointed:

I’ve been meaning to ask how you’re doing. Is your back getting better?

Yes, it is getting better! I no longer need any supports for walking indoors, just for outside. And there are still limits on how much weight I am allowed to lift and certain kinds of motion. But it’s definitely improving! Thank you for asking!

How are things going for you? Also, thanks for leaving a like in my Zazzle shop. Made me grin!

Aw, you’re welcome. I’m so glad your back is getting better! Back pain is no joke. I have widespread osteoarthritis (feet, knees, hips, elbows, shoulders, neck, back, etc.) that started in adolescence (it’s actually slowly twisted and contorted my spine a little, which is kinda fascinating!), so I feel for anyone with back or any other type of pain. I’m doing pretty good, thanks!

Oh my! I am impressed that you can find fascination and not just frustrated! Wow!

I once knew someone with back issues from childhood such that if she didn’t do a set of specialized exercises every morning, she’d become immobilized before noon! (Or maybe my memory is exaggerating it, but she was the founder of a small dance group I worked with for a time.) Spine is an important part of us!

Long before I landed my brewing job, I hosted the brewery’s Vinyl Night. It’s an absolute blast subjecting a roomfull of fellow beer geeks to my eclectic (and sometimes questionable) taste in music. Unfortunately, I had to take a break from it last September due to chaotic life events.

Well, as of this week, I’m back! For two hours I got to take friends and strangers along on an audio odyssey. Sure, it feels like the world is collapsing around us outside but in the brewery, for 120 glorious minutes, we can forget about all of that. We can’t hear that noise over the luscious grooves by Kentucky Vampires, Voodoo Zombie and Cemetery Echo (I was in a particularly gothy mood).

This week’s menu was a sampling of hidden gems, deep tracks and unknown artists served on a platter spinning at 33 1/3 RPM.

I hope everyone is doing well! I’m sorry I’ve not been communicating the last few days (I’ll get back to it as soon as I can); I haven’t been feeling well as of late, and I ended up having a heart attack on Wednesday night and another on Thursday night after I finally went to the hospital, which led to an emergency surgery. Well, I would just call it a procedure, really. I gotta tell you something. I was doing pretty well, but when they said I had to go in for an emergency surgery, the nurse told me I might want to call my kids. I asked her if I was dying, and she just said I should make some calls quickly. That broke me. My congenital fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) caused a spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). The artery completely closed off and is too twisted at this point to fix (because they didn’t believe me for three years, including my last stint in the ER in January, but I digress). Anyway, I quit vomiting once or twice an hour late Friday last night, which made me quite happy. And I could keep down a veggie omelet this (Saturday) morning, so that was amazing! I’m currently on “strict bed rest” but can have one visitor at a time (I’ve convinced them that two or even three is necessary sometimes), but they said absolutely no News or anything stressful. They also said I’m lucky to be alive, which isn’t the first time, making finding my joy this week pretty darn easy! Plus, now I get to tell my kids that a mere mortal could not have had two heart attacks and an emergency surgery within 24 hours and lived. And whenever they get on my nerves, I can grab my chest and say, "Oh, my heart… " :joy:
