This one can’t be explained with ONE OPTION! It’s a combination of a and c. First off, you need (a) for this to happen. And why didn’t this happen a month or two ago, when his polls were also crappy? (because they were not as bad then? though they were technically not, they were still real bad…) Because we’re entering a midterms campaigning cycle, and he is messaging to the Repubs that he will give them NO COVER to run on.
