Why do TYT hosts sill feel the porn star jabs are necessary?

Generally, I really like and agree with most of the TYT has to offer but I am getting really tired of the Trump-porn star jabs. I was tired of it during Trump’s tenure and had really hoped we were past it; nope. It happened again on Nov. 8th with Cenk associating porn stars (sex workers) with syphilis (I do not recall the exact quote).

The Nov. 8 show spent almost the full three hours unpacking bigoted tropes including 15 minutes spent on Dave Chappelle and his trans comments, alone.

In my opinion TYT has been quite juvenile in its past coverage of Stormy Daniels with respect to Trump and it does appear to continue. Legalized and normalized sex work is something that many progressives side with, TYT needs to be better on this.

To be honest with you and in all due respect, isn’t being progressive supposed to be moving collectively together and understanding the opposition to each some level of understanding, but being critical or dismissive of another opinion . Why not question first?

I agree with you, sex work is work and I do find many of Cenk’s comments surrounding sex workers to be really obtuse and judgemental (also obnoxious and a bit sexist). I’ve seen Ana call him out on it a few times, but I do wish he’d get a little more educated about it.

I’ve had a hard time watching the main show at all the past year because of many, many ableist comments both Cenk and Ana make. I find John on TDR to be the best at consistently using inclusive language. I also find his show funny without dipping into that immaturity the main show does sometimes. There’s been a few episodes I was going to send some people to watch, but then they include a segment like the “beta bus” and I had to be like, yeah, no, this is trash.

On the contrary, from my experience TYT always provides the opinion that the network does not discriminate against sex workers.

In fact it is disdainful in our eyes that Stormy Daniels wasn’t given more consideration.
The idea that sex work requires sex workers to provide service to just ANYONE regardless of personal reservations or the subject’s unwillingness in most of women’s cases.

We emphasized that during the massage parlor shootings, even though many of which didn’t even involve sex workers, just a maniac watching too much porn with a gun shooting couples in massages, wives killed while husbands waited outside, apparently ruining a common couple activity.

Even when lunatics attack the wrong people, TYT ensures not to discriminate ANYONE!

We include the “Right” in terms of consideration, of course we don’t have a problem with sex work.

If sex work was legal, my wife would never have to hear me ask for a blowjob again.
Her politics prevent her from having a peaceful life.
Instead she endures semen terrorism, which TYT has only made me feel slightly guilty about.

I’m afraid in this regard, my progress will be conservatively slow; semen terrorism is all I have to protest my cause as husband and father.
I do it for family.

What was I saying? Oh yeah, sex work is fine. Nothing wrong with it.

There is a thread of truth to your concern, but in reality the fear mongering of uncontrollable sexual deviant behavior if such practices be allowed…

Dude, how much violence and aggression can we magically make disappear if prostitution was legal?

How many wives are tired of blowjob requests?

Men act out randomly without any sense of control, where do you think that comes from?

If you’re an American, then you know that was a rhetorical question.
