Here’s what leadership looks like!!!

But I gotta be honest: I wish the first showdown of that governor had been over a much more broad issue than transgenderism. We’ll see what happens in the days ahead.

The choice of that issue by Trumpers to pick a fight over was strategic; it’s a divide-and-conquer strategy. Not many in Maine see that as a burning issue of our times (and note: Trumpers are also lunatics who think that it is…); so Trumpers are hoping to start turning some against the governor, to nip in the bud any effort by the State to insulate itself from the Trump mob’s lawlessness.

Maine needs to focus on Trumpers blowing off court orders, and no penalties for when they violated laws up to the time of an order. In a phrase: no rule of law. In a word: lawlessness…

This is a COLOSSAL JOKE; where are their SECURITY CLEARANCES?? One of the Twerp Team reportedly is a grandkid of a Kremlin spy! (link)

“Judge Jeannette A. Vargas issued a preliminary injunction but said she may lift the ban — which she initially put in place earlier this month — if the Treasury Department certifies by March 24 that DOGE members have received required cybersecurity training.”

Totally agree but it’s a start. More Governors need to stand up to him in public.

Dems keep looking around for the refs, and theyve all gone home. They are not playing by the rules and theye not going to.

Completely agree!

We need to reestablish States that want refs, and leave the rest to their own devices…

I think the Dems are wrongfully betting on riding out another blue wave, so they can lazily do anything and not have to promise a damn thing. We have to show them they couldn’t be more wrong.

Yes: they are counting on a pendulum swing; then they do the bidding of their corporate owners.

Now you get why I’m flipping that Sanders does not do a Cortes and burn the Dem boats. The Dem Party will NEVER let pro-worker political reps in their leadership!

STATES: you need to start discussions to address the rule of law vacuum.

For over two years, I have watched daily videos of Glen Kirschner. I admire his passion and respect for the rule of law. As he says at the beginning and the end of his videos, “Justice Matters”. But I must admit, he is out of touch with the current moment we are in. Justice, as he once knew it back in his days as a Federal Prosecutor and JAG, is almost, if not completely, gone. It’s a fact. He can’t see it and wants to continue pretending that the judicial system will save us. It will not.

Hi there. One that I follow due to his excellent news analysis and commentary is Kyle Kulinski on his Secular Talk channel on YouTube. His subscriber base is rapidly growing and approaching 2M as a result. He is extremely passionate, sometimes a bit too much, but he keeps it real.

I remember this coverage by Kyle. Here is the link: Streets FLOOD With COLOSSAL Anti-Trump Protests! | The Kyle Kulinski Show - YouTube

I agree that Glenn is not seeing how this is now extralegal and the courts won’t cut it. If a majority on the Supreme Court starts firing off a string of losses for Trump and then the Repubs back them up -MAYBE. But look at the suspension of the restraining order on blocking aid already directed by CONGRESS, Roberts surrendered to the King on that! It’s over; they are going to go for a full dictatorship (there will be no real midterm elections -wake up people…)

I like Kyle’s sense of humor…

The courts won’t save us because religious conservatives spent decades packing them with ideologues through groups like the Federalist Society. Legal processes alone won’t fix this. We need to push for state-level resistance, build direct democracy, and educate others on how the judicial system was co-opted.

Great, thanks! How have you been?

I have been absent for a short while. Frankly, I often find myself overwhelmed and in despair watching the shameful and unlawful events taking place which are destroying this country I love so much. I served in uniform to preserve what little progress we have achieved in this country over the decades. Occasionally I look at this discussion board and as always find your posts interesting and even uplifting when I need it the most. I genuinely appreciate very much your contributions and insight to topics that truly matter. Have an awesome day.
